At ECR 2009, the European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR) is delighted to present a selection of highlights of EIBIR’s international networking and project activities in a dedicated session.

EIBIR is particularly pleased to welcome Dr. Philippe Jehenson, Principal Scientific Officer, European Commission DG Research, as a guest speaker, who will talk about Biomedical Imaging Research in the 7th EU Framework Programme.

The EIBIR Session will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2009, 10:30-12:00, in Room Z.

The ECR digital preview system (EDIPS) is now online! It will enable you to prepare your presentations, upload them to the congress venue’s computer system in advance, and test their functionality right away. In addition, you will have the option to edit your presentations, check their statuses, and decide whether or not to make your presentations available (EDIPS Download).

Don’t miss out on the Hospital Management Symposium at ECR 2009, organised by the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and European Hospital, presenting various lectures on management, finance and information technology. This special session features leading experts in these fields of hospital management who have been invited to give talks and lead discussions with participating hospital and department managers.

The symposium takes place on Saturday March 7, 2009, 08:30-13:30, Austria Center Vienna, in
Room K.

ESOR is happy to announce the newly established Exchange Programmes for Fellowships, which will offer subspecialty training in Abdominal Imaging, Cardiac Imaging, Head and Neck Imaging or Paediatric Imaging to residents in their last year of training or recently board-certified radiologists.
